We’re men and women driven by the love of Christ, and it’s our joy and passion to serve those in need in New Jersey, 365 days a year!
Our Board of Directors is excited to welcome Gordon Dahl as the CEO of Market Street Mission!
As many of you know, we engaged in a national search and spent several months interviewing candidates. Throughout the process our prayers were for discernment, clarity, and alignment. We saw the Lord work, and He answered our prayers. Just as the Lord moved in Gordon’s heart seven years ago to come to Market Street and work where he was needed, the Lord moved Gordon to apply for the CEO role. This was not his original plan, but Gordon responded out of obedience and compassion for this ministry. The Board is convinced, without a doubt, that Gordon is the right choice for CEO in our next season of ministry.
You may know Gordon as our Director of Retail overseeing our thrift stores in Morristown and Asbury Park for the past seven years, but his influence has extended beyond the walls of the thrift stores. His tireless dedication to that role and the larger ministry of Market Street Mission has generated remarkable success for the Mission. Prior to joining Market Street, he spent 25 years in the corporate world rising to the VP of Marketing for an international company known as the preeminent instrument designer in the global ophthalmic surgical instrument field. He led his team with excellence, and the company grew and flourished during his tenure. Gordon has also served as an Elder in his church, Christ the King Church in Dover, for more than 25 years. No matter where Gordon has worked or served, his love for Jesus and desire to serve Him has shone steady and true.
Gordon brings a deep spiritual maturity and servant’s heart as well as proven strategic leadership wherever he serves. He is well known for his relational care, integrity, and pursuit of excellence. We are thrilled to have Gordon at the helm of Market Street Mission as we enter this next chapter and continue in our commitment to share the transforming love of Jesus with those who are struggling with addiction and brokenness.
