HELP IN SUSSEX COUNTY

Bringing help & hope to homeless men in Newton

Home > What We Do > Help in Sussex County

Market Street Mission has expanded its outreach into Sussex County. Located in Newton, our new 14-bed hospitality room on Spring Street is helping us welcome even more men in need and meet the following goals:

1. Fulfill the immediate basic needs of homeless men in Sussex County. We provide:

  • Warm, safe overnight shelter
  • Hot dinner and breakfast daily
  • Daily showers, laundry and clean clothing
  • Fellowship, chapel and group activities
  • Thrift store vouchers
  • Access to group counseling (including Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Celebrate Recovery meetings held at Christ Community Church, adjacent to this Mission location)

2. Identify potential candidates for our free addiction recovery program. We can direct men struggling with drug addiction to our long-term, Christ-centered addiction recovery program in Morristown. For many, staying at our Sussex County location may be their first step toward finding the deeper healing they need to change their lives. Call today (973) 538-5854 if you or someone you know wants help.

3. Serve Sunday dinners to the community. In partnership with Christ Community Church, we serve dinner every Sunday night from 6-7pm. Our goal is to offer a free and friendly family-style dinner to anyone in the community – men, women and children – who would like to join us. Walk-ins are welcome! No registration, ID, or money necessary.
