“Tired of losing…”
Given the “test of Job”… Kirk failed “miserably.”
Up until the time when his wife left him, Kirk had been gifted with “a pretty wonderful life.” He had Christ in his life, believed in God and was a member of a local church. He drank “socially” and held down a job.
But without his realizing it, Kirk’s social drinking had turned into alcoholism. His wife of 13 years divorced him. He lost his job and his home.
Confused, depressed, angry and heartbroken, Kirk began drinking even more.
